San Honoro is a suburb of Oliviana and a popular tourist destination. It is known for it's steep shoreline cliffs and the historic San Honoro Lighthouse.

History
Apollinaire Vaillant and his followers lost several boats and crew to the tumultuous waters surrounding the southern peninsula, and in 1663, Vaillant ordered the construction of a lighthouse in the region. The Royal Navy raid on the island prematurely ended construction on the lighthouse, and it stood half-built until 1899, when Oliviana's founder, Anders Sondag, had the lighthouse completed. The style of the lighthouse was inspired by Mayan temples found throughout Central America. Mateus Farias, who oversaw construction efforts, fell in love with the area and established a small town surrounding the lighthouse.
