Hipparcho is a small town along the Lunegra River, established by Thelonius Alasdair to serve as Meridona's scientific center. It is named after the Greek astronomer and early father of trigonometry. Hipparcho is home to an observatory, built in 1797, and the subterranean research labs, completed in 2014. Together, they make up the Hipparcho Observatory & Subterranean Labs (HOSL).
