Tourism

Since explorers first laid eyes on Meridona in the 1400's, they have been enamored by it's beauty. Despite the island's rapid population growth since it's settlement, efforts have been made to preserve as much of Meridona's natural beauty as possible.

The towns of Valhona and it's suburb of Barbarossa, as well as the southern town of San Honoro have emerged as world-class travel destinations in recent years. Valhona features some of the most luxurious hotels and resorts, while Barbarossa is home to a number of restaurants opened by some of the world's finest chefs. San Honoro's stunning coastal cliffs and historic lighthouse are also a favorite of visitor's to Meridona. While these cities have become tourist favorites, each town in Meridona seemingly has something to offer. Whether it's the nightlife of Alasdairo, the music and arts of Rocklodge, Portobonillo's past of piracy, or Susong's mysterious cliff dwellings.

The island is also home to 4 national parks: Silvanus, Interakvo, Solstico, and Old World, each offering their own unique beauty and wonders. All of Meridona's parks are open to recreational activities such as camping, hiking, swimming, rock climbing, and cave exploring.
