Due to the difficult terrain between the agricultural region between the agricultural center of Archdyer and Alasdairo, transporting goods was a difficult ordeal. In 1865, industrialist Florian Sabados established the Sabados Rail Co. (SRC) and began construction of a narrow gauge rail know as the Three Kings Line connecting the two towns. With the discovery of the gem fields in the 1870's, Sabados established the Ruby Mae, connecting the new port city of Westcove and other mining towns to Alasdairo.
In 2010, the SRC began construction on high speed rail line connecting the 5 major metropolitan regions. Completed in 2015, the Lares runs from Sotomayor in the north to the most southern city of San Honoro and is the primary choice of travel for those commuting between Meridona's metropolitan areas.
