Fort Gedna

Founded by: Thelonius Alasdair (1795)
Population (2015 census): 1,905

Fort Gedna is a suburb of Cavalry City and home to the Meridonan army's Ground Forces Operations Facility (GFOF), which employs the majority of the town.

Thelonius Alasdair believed in a small, but expertly trained military that should be used only as a last defense, and ordered the construction of the fort. The name is in honor of Alasdair's beloved childhood nanny, whom he referred to as "the bravest guardian of this world."

As the military grew, merchants began to set up nearby the fort to cater to the soldiers. Amália Bermudes got her start in town's early days operating a successful brothel until a "moral buffer" forced all "merchants of vice" out of the town.
