Pikalo

Founded by: Benito Urias (1801)
Population (2015 census): 840

Pikalo is a small ranching village within the Carné Valley region, which produces roughly 75% of the island's meat. The village's economy was decimated in 1981 after an unexplained disease killed all but 21 head of meriboar. With the help of the neighboring community of Mitalia, Pikalo was able to recover from the incident and continues it's role as a vital food source today.
