Gelgita Point is a small town near the entrance to Cavalry Cove. It is known for it's long history of shipbuilding, which is regarded as some of the finest in the world. In recent years, the waters off Gelgita Point have been the site of a number of experimental tidal power generators that will serve as the island's back-up power source.
