Barbarossa is a suburb of Valhona and popular tourism destination. The town has been the site of a pilgrimage of sorts for up-and-coming chefs from throughout the world, with many of them staying in Barbarossa to open their own restaurants. Chef Luke Tuiloma's restaurant, Lost Kiwi, won top prize at the 2015 San Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurant Awards.
